About

Rachel was born in 1982 in Davenport, Iowa. She developed her love of art at a very young age with encouragement from her grandmother. Rachel would spend many weekends of her childhood at her grandmothers, throwing pottery and painting with watercolors which enticed Rachel to pursue a career in Fine Arts. She also developed a love for graphic arts when she was in third grade but she didn't realize art was her niche until she was ready to graduate in 2006. Rachel had enormous encouragement from her professors to peruse a major in art, but due to financial hardships, she stepped into a world full of mochas, teas and coffee beans. A wonderful world for most, but it wasn't Rachel's ideal career. Back to school she went, three years later to pursue her art career. Rachel loves all forms of art and media. After graduation Rachel isn't sure where her love of art and knowledge is going to take her, but she can't wait to get started. Rachel completed the Graphic Design and Book Arts program in December 2011 and was a featured in the Catich Gallery show Moats & Boats & Waterfalls, Alleyways & Pay Phone Calls and had a solo show Extravagant Rubbish.
